@@StrategicTreasurer just a quick question. No rush on the reply. Are there certain brokers that pool their clients funds to participate in the overnight CP market? Who would they be? I have a decent sum of funds that I would like to use. Just sick of the 5% a year stuff. I’m sure everyone is as well. lol. Thank you in advance for your advice
Good question. It may not be what you’re looking for, but there are prime funds out there that invest in a variety of short-term investments that include CP, repos, etc.
Thanks for continuing to gatekeep the truth about commercial paper and not explaining how it’s simply utilized in real-time. Lol a simple statement about applications or certificates of deposits for instance would be great if you were really tryin to help the people learn what this mechanism really is lol.

Comparing this to FBAR is absurd to me. Only a tiny number of people are subject to FBAR, whereas 100% of small business entities are subject to this new FINCEN filing. Millions of people (many of whom still have no idea this is coming) are being sucked into a reporting regime that will have zero impact on money laundering. It will meaningfully harm private equity markets because many investors will want no part of it.
There appears to be no way to retire or suspend a FINCEN ID if you no longer have an interest in a reportable entity. You are stuck reporting information updates under penalty of fines and jail time for the remainder of your natural life. I’m not sure if that failure is FINCEN’s or Congress’.
